Women Build Comes to Salisbury

On May 13, some of our team swapped desks for hard hats and headed to a build site in Salisbury for Habitat for Humanity of Wicomico County's annual Women Build.

We spent the day building sheds for future Habitat homeowners. Every shed counts. Each one is placed at a Habitat home or sold to fund the mission, helping pay for new homes on a lot that sits empty today, with two more expected by winter or spring.

Women Build has been part of Habitat's work since the 1980s. It puts women front and center on the job site, drills and saws in hand.

We believe strong communities build strong businesses. Days like this are why we show up.

Want to pitch in? Habitat takes volunteers and donations year round at wicomicohabitat.org.
